Which braces suit you best? In this video we introduce the main brace systems we use at our practice between Bad Tölz and Munich. The right choice depends on the position of your teeth and jaws, your age and what matters to you.
Aligners – gentle and discreet
Aligner trays are especially gentle and barely visible. You take them out to eat and brush your teeth, then put them back in. More on our aligner page.
Lingual braces – fixed braces on the inside
With lingual braces the brackets sit on the inside of the teeth. They cannot be seen from the outside, which makes them ideal for adults in particular. More about lingual braces.
Classic brackets – metal or ceramic
If you choose brackets on the outside of the teeth, you can pick between materials: ceramic brackets are less noticeable than metal ones, and modern self-ligating brackets work without extra elastic rings. Everything about fixed braces.
Removable braces and palatal expanders
Removable braces are often used for children. A rapid palatal expander (in German “GNE”) is a fixed appliance that widens the upper jaw.
As you can see, there is plenty to choose from. We are happy to advise you in person at our practice in Wolfratshausen.
