When should my child first see an orthodontist?
We recommend a first check-up around age 6 or 7. That’s when we can spot early signs of jaw or bite issues – and step in gently if needed.
What if my child still has baby teeth?
No problem at all! Most kids still have baby teeth at their first visit. We’re mainly checking how the whole chewing system inclusive airway space and body static is developing.
How do you make visits fun for kids?
We take our time, explain everything in kid-friendly ways, and make the visit as fun and low-stress as possible. Digital scans (no impressions!) and a kind team help kids feel safe and confident.
Will early treatment mean they won’t need braces later?
Sometimes, yes – early care can guide growth and prevent bigger issues. In other cases, it just makes future treatment easier and shorter. Either way, it’s a smart step.
How do you help nervous or shy children?
They might feel a little funny at first, but we always go gently and explain what’s happening. Most kids adjust quickly and have fund – and we’re here to support them every step of the way.
