WHAT IS INVISALIGN®?
In contrast to classic, fixed braces, the Invisalign method corrects crooked teeth and a misaligned bite using thin, inconspicuous removable aligners.
Treatment with Invisalign® uses modern transparent trays (called aligners) which are very thin and almost invisible. They are also extremely comfortable to wear. Our patients love Invisalign! You can remove the aligners at any time and easily brush your teeth. Life can carry on as normal during treatment.
Invisalign aligners are digitally created for each patient, and then manufactured and regularly adjusted to help move your teeth. The aligners must be worn for at least 22 hours a day for treatment to be successful.
The custom-made, high-precision aligners exert controlled, even pressure on your teeth, guiding them in the desired direction, correcting crooked teeth in a gentle and painless way. Aligners are usually changed weekly until the end of treatment. You can easily change the aligners yourself at home. We check the progress of your treatment every few weeks in our specialist orthodontic practice in Wolfratshausen.

The Invisalign® method is an established method worldwide. For many patients, the invisibility of their braces, and thus the aesthetics of their treatment, is the deciding factor. However, there is another reason why aligner therapy is becoming increasingly popular with both young and old: they are extremely comfortable to wear. Aligners do not need any wires and are virtually invisible in everyday life. While classic braces are fixed using brackets, aligners can be easily removed. The Invisalign® trays nestle against the underlying tooth enamel without damaging it. The wafer-thin aligners are more comfortable to wear as they only cover your teeth, leaving your tongue and palate free, relieving you of the strange feeling of having a foreign body in your mouth. Although you need to wear the aligners for at least 22 hours a day for your treatment to be successful, you can easily remove them for eating, drinking and brushing your teeth.
